Kids-Masters of paintSo why was I at Valhalla? Besides taking cool pictures. Simple! I drove down with James Bruce and two large pieces of art to acquire signatures from past PGA champions. Yea that sounds like a great time, and, oh it was. But the story only starts with Golf Champions and a road trip. These beautiful pieces of art were started by local artist, Carlos Ortiz, than remastered by local Austin children, several of which wrestle with Autism. Autism awareness is the real story for these pieces of art. With a growing number of children and families impacted with Autism it is more than ever needed to raise awareness and open our hearts to these families. ( One in 68 U.S. children has an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a 30% increase from 1 in 88 two years ago.) These two beautiful, creative, and amazing pieces of art will be auctioned off in the future. The sale of the art will help raise awareness and financial support to both to Els for Autism and for our local Autism Society of Greater Austin. All thanks goes to Rob Swett of Robert Stephen Homes who has commissioned the art project as part of his Autism awareness campaign. Trust me when is say there is a much bigger story behind this story. Please keep following Robert Stephen Homes for the auction date here
